Thermal Die Cutting is actually "Hot Kiss Cutting" pressure sensitive vinyl, with the objective of creating a pre-spaced, ready to apply decal, with no vinyl between the characters, on a common carrier to apply as one decal.

Magnesium Thermal Dies are created from computer generated artwork, mounted onto a thermal press then heated to 300 degrees. Sheets of pressure sensitive vinyl are placed below the heated die and through a combination of heat, dwell, and pressure, the areas where the cutting edge "kisses" the vinyl will be melted or cut. Unwanted material is then weeded away leaving a pre-spaced decal.
