Thermal die cutting, or "hot kiss cutting" is the process of melting pressure sensitive vinyl with a magnesium die that has been etched.
The "kiss-cut" graphic is then hand weeded and masked to produce a "pre-spaced" graphic.
Thermal die cutting is particularly beneficial for large quantities of graphic images. Die cutting can be much faster to produce and the weeding goes much quicker and easier on thermal die cut images than it does on a plotter or blade cut image. This is especially important on small car dealer decals, saving time and money overall.
